The SR-HDPro is a turn-key external storage system with superb performance making it perfect for HD video editing! Comes complete with up to 16.0TB of installed SATA storage and a high performance SATA PCI Express Host Based Adapter!  Compatible with Mac Pro, recent  Power Mac G5s, plus Windows and Linux PCI Express equipped computers!

Need even more speed?  If you have two open x4 compatible PCI Express slots,  you can combine two of the SR-HDPros!*  Using the two cards and 16 drives provides sustained throughput of up to 800MB/s in RAID 5 and up to 1000MB/s in RAID 0 with a maximum capacity of 32TB!

The SR-HDPro houses 8 high performance SATA II 3Gb/s hard drives and connects to the included PCI Express SATA controller via two high-quality 6 foot long locking Multilane /mini SAS cables (also included).  Thanks to the air intake design and multiple fans, the enclosure moves a tremendous amount of air across the drives keeping them running cool.

If there is ever a need to replace a hard drive it's quick and easy! Simply unlock the slot mechanism and slide the hard drive out, there are no drive trays!  Slide in the new drive (automatically lines up correctly) and lock the slot mechanism.  Done!
