Plus, the card offers unprecedented scalability through its support of port multipliers—it can handle up to ten drives*! Imagine connecting 5 Terabytes (5,000 Gigabytes) of external storage to your notebook computer!  

*Support for 10 drives requires the use of drive enclosures employing port multipliers (like Sonnet's Fusion 500P or this SATA Port Multiplier Enclosure, 5-Bay with LCDs). When using enclosures without a port multiplier the Sonnet Tempo Express 34 will support up to 2 drives.
