Convert VHS, S-VHS, Hi8 and 8mm analog tapes to DV through your FireWire port in one simple step using
ADVC110. The ADVC110 is a portable and easy-to-use external bi-directional analog/digital video converter for Windows and Mac OS-based computers that features FireWire bus-powered operation and audio-only conversion capabilities.
ADVC110 is an affordable conversion solution that easily connects VHS, Hi8 and other analog video equipment to all DV cameras, decks and editing systems.
The Canopus ADVC110 is an ideal device for capture and output of S-Video and composite analog video from FireWire equipped notebook or desktop computers. There are no software drivers to install and systems equipped with 6-pin FireWire ports are able to supply power through the FireWire cable, so
ADVC110 does not require an external power supply. Systems and devices equipped with 4-pin FireWire ports will require
the optional power supply. The ADVC110 can also operate as a stand-alone converter without requiring a computer.
Intelligent Input/Output
The ADVC110's intelligent usability allows for easy setup and connection in any video environment. Front and rear connectors provide analog and DV signal
pass-through and ensure that connecting cables is neat and simple.
The ADVC110 also features a color bar reference signal generator to further enhance its integration into any video production environment.
Proven DV Codec Technology
At the heart of ADVC110 is the award winning Canopus DV codec chip providing the industry's best analog-to-DV and DV-to-analog
video quality.
Locked Audio Support
Other converters can lose audio/video sync when converting longer segments of video.
The ADVC110 supports locked audio when converting from analog to digital, assuring perfect audio and video synchronization.
The ADVC110 also allows conversion of analog audio signals only, when needed.
