This 5-bay eSATA Port Multiplier drive enclosure combines support for the fastest SATA drives with hot-swap versatility
and LCD readouts for monitoring drive temperatures! Plus, it's unique
design with whisper quiet cooling fans in each drive tray provides super quiet
superior cooling!
The enclosure design includes a high performance eSATA II port multiplier
(Silicon Image SiI 3726) and connects to a eSATA host controller card through a
single
port*. Connect up to 5 drives to your computer with just a single eSATA cable!
Auto-negotiation for 3Gb/s and 1.5Gb/s drives, so installation is as simple as securing the drives to the trays.
Start out with a single drive for simple data storage, or fill the enclosure with five drives to create
up to a huge 10 Terabyte striped RAID array. Combine two or more
enclosures for uncompressed 10-bit HD video capture and editing! Connect up to four enclosures to a
eSATA Port Multiplier compatible host controller like the Hi Performance x8
PCI Express eSATA Card, eSATA
II 4 Port PCI-X Card, Sonnet
Tempo SATA E4P or Sonnet Tempo SATA X4P host controller to create the ultimate storage solutionusing
